Too live, love and trust again

I can feel my bones becoming stronger as each day passes this month.  Moving into the cold, dry month of the season, December, I see my body naturally fattening up.  I'm like a seal adjusting to it's surrounding temperatures in the Arctic.  Having said that, I hold something in my possession that should warm things up this month; December House Grooves.  This beautiful set is powered by the magnificent James Barraclough, this young man has been mentioned in the past and every time he gives me a new set, 'it' moves.

Discovering new music and artists to me is like finding a new insect that hasn't been marked on our planet.  I discovered Camilo Escobar.  This rare symbolized creature doesn't contain any special, social media links that give a detailed history of his past.  He's also not the one creating the great sounds coming from my speakers, he is in fact providing all of us with the best selection of tracks there is to offer.
Exhibit A: Limit To Your Love
Exhibit B: Loves Got Me High
Exhibit C: Body Shiver
Exhibit D: Honestly just listen to his entire selection and if your not completely satisfied with these tracks I don't know what will satisfy you anymore.

ENJOY!

Hallow!

House-Music-Hump-Day

[She has all the right swagger]

I did it again last night..... Had the best time of my life.
Knowing that an artist as big as this little girl was going to be throwing a party in my city is probably the best feeling in the world.  Miss Maya Jane Coles straight from London, Britain apart of the 'RA Podcasts' family set the tone last night at Wrongbar here in Toronto.  Shoulder to shoulder the whole night made the experience even more uplifting.  This bitch can bring the beat! At most points in the night I felt like I was living one of those classic 90's House concerts where you hear the mellow beat drop and the crowd gives a slight "owwwww" in sync.

Ever hear of a big man named David Tort? Neither have I but apparently he releases sets weekly and most of them are decent enough to listen to.  I usually get limp dick after the first 10 minutes of his stuff, FORTUNATELY his newest set kept me pumpin' the entire time. I promise you wont be upset with this one; dance party the whole way through and through.

I'll just toss this in as a bonus, because I know everyone likes a little Minimal beat once and awhile.  stop lying to yourself when you say you "hate" it because you definitely wont hate this:

ENJOY!

A hopeless place.

"It's like screaming and no one can hear.

You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important and without them you feel like nothing.
No one will ever understand how much it hurts.
You feel hopeless, like nothing can save you.
But when its over and its done, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back, so that you could have the good."

House-Music-Hump-day
[all one word]

It's Wednesday, which means it's "hump-day" which means we're closer to the weekend, which means we get to eat the most amount of turkey and pumpkin pie ever! Hollaaaa! I don't know about everyone else but Thanksgiving weekend is my favorite gathering with family and friends throughout the year.  So many food babies are born in celebration of a non-stop buffet line in my kitchen, it's great.  Anyways.. I've decided that I would make Wednesdays the day to post my favorite tracks and sets of the week, despite the other great stuff I post throughout.

Lucky for all you sorry sluts I haven't posted new music in awhile and I'm pretty backed up inside ready to release everywhere.  I'm going to number each introduction and match them to the sets/tracks below.

1. This dude: DJ Leomeo from Paris was in Toronto a couple of weekends ago at Fly Nightclub spinning his greatest house sessions for me, specifically.  Found his SoundCloud profile and went nuts afterwards.  Enjoy his Urban set below..

2. JAMES BARRACLOUGH! Need I say more?  He's finally released his 4th Summer Terrace Mix seeing as we've come to an end with the season and it most definitely tops all the others, I promise.  I can't stop listening to it and neither should you, just promise me you have a decent bass system pumping for this one.

3. I have to give it to this guy, he's been featured in almost all my previous 'Music Mondays' posts from when I contributed to my pal Andrew Charles Edwards II blog: justSTFU.ca and he's one of the best Tech-house DJ's I've ever heard.  Tulpi, hands out a new set every month and his Oktobermix 2011 KILLS IT!

4. Brian Becerra has always been apart of my playlist and I've never had a problem with his work until he released his own introduction mix featuring Björk to Andhim's track Holzceania Drosselschnaps because I literally fell in love with it and him and now I have a problem.  You should also look into 'Andhim' if you like the track.

  1. SET: Urban People - DJ Leomeo
  2. SET: Summer Terrace Mix Vol. 4 - James Barraclough
  3. SET: Oktobermix 2011 - Tulpi
  4. TRACK: Holzceania Drosselschnaps - Brian Becerra
HOLY SHIT I'M DONE! Enjoy these over the next few days, I know I will.  Have a happy thanksgiving weekend everyone and don't forget to dance it out when the turkeys hit the table.

Peacin' Love,

GABRIELLLL!

Tis' the season to be Thursday
[First post of the blog and it's a winner I promise]

I want to start by acknowledging some people who create blogs like this one for personal reasons and enjoy expressing themselves to the public.  I for one, could never get personal on something like this.  I'm very much like my father when it comes to wondering what people WILL think of me and what people ARE thinking of me.

Fuck it.

Recently (the past couple of months) I more or less have been opening myself up to myself.  Learning what I want and learning what I can and can't have.  It aint hard for people to make mistakes in life, we don't learn lessons by doing everything in a correct fashion. Having said that, I guess I feel pretty knowledgeable in the life-lesson category for a twenty-year old 'stud'...BOOM!  In all honesty it doesn't take much to hurt me, I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again; I bruise like a peach.  Fuck you, don't touch me.  The beautiful battle of brother and sister was never a good one for me, that little copper headed wonder would know exactly what to say and all I could do was slap, bite, punch, push or kick her.  Words have always done things to me, I would rather get punched 100 times (just not the face) then get called fat-ass or faggot in one sentence.  Anyways, back to my point of learning lessons, I'll always be the "nice guy" in life and do anything for anyone if I think they deserve it.  I usually read someone for about 0.01 seconds and understand what they deserve from me.  I then give.  This is the part where things get tricky, once the reading is complete and I've made my move in life for that person there can only be two possible outcomes:
  1. That person completely deserved everything I gave, appreciated every second of it with a simple 'Thank you Vince' and I feel even happier to be apart of their life or..
  2. That person has simply abused the "nice guy" factor in order to gain fifteen more minutes of self-absorption, put it in their pocket and continued to collect from the next sorry bastard that falls for their "friendship".
It's funny because this happens in all kinds of relationships, straight, gay, bi, domestic, exclusive, long distant, etc.. there will always be the "nice guy" and most of the time he will usually get royally raped in his bum hole, but HEY I'm not complaining.  Just more lessons to learn and more people to weed out, they will soon learn their life lessons, unfortunately with double the bum hole rape and triple the penetration. Ou gurl.

Totally deleted Facebook a couple of weeks ago. Ummmmm I'm free? Fucking right I'm free and free of all 800 creeps down the street that I don't know who can sit naked at home, view my one profile picture and continue to inbox me saying "Hey, I'm looking at your picture and you look familiar. Have we met before? Anyways your cute. Add me? xo". FUCK OFF! I understand that a serious part of society today and our urban culture is run by a social website called Facebook but seriously I'm done with it. Seriously? Seriously. Looking to contact your friend Vince? Call or text message me via cell phone. cooooooool.
I'm not a loser because I don't have Facebook and yes one day I will probably ponder about getting it back but right now It feels so liberating and fresh to have an entire social media history of pictures, comments, status' and 'likes' just completely erased.  You should probably try it out.
AND
Because I'm a recovering Facebook addict, I now read! For the first time ever I skipped to the library the other day and picked up some booksss. Book no.1: The Power of Now, Book no.2: A New Earth, both by Eckhart Tolle and Book no.3: Born Liars by Ian Leslie.  Everyone should probably be reading Tolle's books, they are very true in life and really do give you a strong understanding of how your mind works and basically teaches you how to turn it off whenever you want, teaches you to live in the now.  The human mind can kill you and everyone around you faster then a blazing bullet. Fierce. I haven't gotten to the 'Liars' one but I can probably guess I'll enjoy it just as much...

OK that's me updated and fresh feel free to follow this blog if you want, I don't really care to be honest and do not expect this shit to be weekly because I can guarantee you it wont be that often.  The only thing that will be frequent is some music posts where I will feature some serious fuckin' beats; sets, tracks, artists, experiences etc.. going to be good.

OH YA - I quit smoking weed.  1month & 4days today :) NOT stoned!

Peacin' Luv,
